Cedar Cottage is a spacious, romantic, luxury cottage for two and is situated in the centre of the delightful undiscovered North Cotswold village of Ilmington. Nestling in the valley at the foot of the Campden Hills and surrounded by wonderful English countryside. This is a conservation village with its yellow stone cottages set around the village green, old church where the bells still ring out across the orchard, there are two country pubs, where you can sample the local ale and good food also there is a well stocked village shop, catering for all of your needs including newspapers all just a short walk away. Ilmington is a much sort after place to live, a thriving village, offering a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.  It is a perfect place for those seeking to escape to the countryside and experience a taste of true village life. Perfectly located just a few minutes drive from many of the more famous Cotswold villages, only seven miles from Stratford Upon Avon.

The cottage is detached, has just been completely renovated to a very high standard. Decorated in soft warm colours, with oak floors throughout and luxury fixtures and fittings. It is surrounded by private cottage garden, situated in the middle of the village, overlooking Ilmington Manor gardens.

The front entrance hall with terracotta stone floor, and stairs to first floor accommodation consisting of one bedroom for guests use and luxury modern bathroom.

The cosy lounge with a log burning /multi-fuel fire, TV, with Freesat channels and Humax hard drive recorder.  DVD Player.  CD player. Wi-Fi is available throughout the cottage.

Comfy soft red leather sofa, chairs and lamps, where you can relax after a days sightseeing. French doors from this room lead into the conservatory which overlooks the private sunny walled garden,

Large dining room leading to a new fully fitted kitchen, is tastefully decorated and has a touch of French elegance with its chandelier, oak table, sideboard, and French style dining chairs. Perfect for those romantic candle light dinners.

Kitchen fully equipped with all cooking utensils etc. Gas hob, electric, high level grill, double oven, fridge freezer, dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker. There is a separate utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer.

The large bedroom overlooks the side of the property with views across gardens, fields and hillside.  There is a French theme to this room with soft feather pillows, crisp white linen, and French blue bedcovers.

In the room there are two 3ft single beds which can also be zipped and linked to provide a large super king size bed. Hair dryer is provided, also clock radio alarm.

New, modern, fully fitted bathroom with shower bath and built in sink and toilet unit. Bubble bath and soft fluffy towels are provided.

French doors from the lounge lead to the conservatory, which is also linked to the kitchen. Have breakfast  overlooking the private sunny cottage garden.

Pretty front garden with lawn and flower beds where you can also sit and enjoy the evening sun.

Walled rear cottage garden, where you may relax under the apple tree in the sunny garden and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.

Ilmington is a quiet village, with little traffic, being four miles from the nearest main road, perfectly located just a few minutes drive from many of the more famous Cotswold villages such as Moreton in the Marsh, with its rail link to London, Stow on the Wold, Bourton on the Water, The slaughters, and Chipping Campden, where you can find old English tea rooms and quaint individual shops to potter around, and visitor attractions for you to visit. We are only seven miles from Stratford Upon Avon, set along the river Avon with its famous Theatre and shops café’s and abundance of restaurants, and Warwick with its famous Castle.  For those National Trust lovers we have several properties on the door step, Hidcote Gardens, Snowshill Manor, Upon House, and Charlcote Park.  There are maps available including local walks and details of places of interest locally so you don’t miss the best bits.  You will find lots to do whatever your interest.

 Having recently retired from running a tourist board gold award accommodation business in the Cotswolds and moving to live nearer our daughter in France, we have recently purchased Cedar Cottage as our holiday home so that we may visit family and friends locally. We have fully refurbished the cottage to a very high standard for our own use. It is a two bed roomed cottage, but only one bedroom is available for guests use. We are happy to share this special place with you, therefore, you will find all the comforts of home and the luxury touches not often found in holiday accommodation.  

We have always loved Ilmington, it is a very special village and we are sure you will find that once visited it is not easily forgotten.  

Our property managers live in the village and will be there to greet you, and are available if you have any problem during your stay.
